During the 20 years since the first RAC Report on Motoring was published in 1988, it has become widely regarded as the voice of Britain's motorists.

In celebration of the 20th year of the Report, three special RAC Reports on Motoring will be published in the course of 2008. Report One looks back at the last 20 years of motoring and today's car-centric society. Report Two, focuses on technology and the latest, final report of 2008 investigates motoring and the environment.
